In the newest TOP500 list of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, published during the 2010 Supercomputing Conference in New Orleans (Louisiana), the first European supercomputer is Tera-100, a petaflopic French system owned by CEA and dedicated to Defense applications.

Tera-100 has recently reached the petaflop/s level with a 1.05 Pflop/s performance.
