Since its creation in 2007, GENCI's priority is to give French academic researchers access to the best computing resources for achieving their works. As a result, the available computing power in France has significantly increased.
Thanks to the Curie supercompter at TGCC, the Ada and Turing computers at Idris, and Occigen, which will follow Jade at Cines, the French scientists will access, at the end of 2014, to 5.1 petaflops delivered by competitive computing resources with complementary architectures in order to address the great variety of their scientific needs.
