The national research infrastructure and the Quantum HPC hybrid computing program will be present in Denver for this new edition of Supercomputing.
Stéphane Requena, Technical Director of GENCI, Sabine Mehr, Quantum Computing Manager and Eric Boyer, HPC, HPDA and AI Project Manager, will be taking part in various workshops and conferences around:
- Exascale in particular as part of the Jules Verne proposal involving GENCI, CEA and SURF (Netherlands) towards the 2nde Exascale EuroHPC system;
- artificial intelligence, with HPC contributions to generative AI and multi-modal gigamodels, or the convergence between digital simulation and AI;
- quantum computing, with the deployment of the first hybrid systems combining supercomputers and quantum gas pedals. Examples include the 2 100-qubit systems from startup Pasqal that GENCI/CEA and FZJ (Germany) will be commissioning in early 2024
- energy-efficient computing systems
- supporting communities to port and optimize their applications on Exascale architectures
