More than 1.2 billion computing hours (CPU, GPU) on GENCI's 3 supercomputers at TGCC (CEA), IDRIS (CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique) and CINES (France Universités) are available for your work in #HPC digital simulation, #HPDA data processing and #IA artificial intelligence.
These resources are available free of charge for open academic and industrial research (startups, SMEs, major groups). If you would like to apply for resources on GENCI's national resources, please submit your application directly to eDARIwww.edari.fr.
Depending on the resources requested, your application will be either Dynamic Access (≤ 50 kh GPU equivalent V100 and 500 kh CPU equivalent CSL) or Regular Access (> 50 kh GPU and 500 kh CPU).
If you are in the case of Regular Access, the deadline for your application to be considered in the A16 allocation or in complementary A15 is midnight February 7.
Important points :
- Resources on GENCI's national resources are made available free of charge to academic and industrial researchers, for use from the beginning of May 2024 to the end of April 2025 for A16, and from the beginning of May 2024 to the end of October 2024 for complementary A15.
- The A16 allocation is open to new and renewal projects.
- A15 allocation project holders can submit a request for additional hours mid-way through the project, to be used during the last 6 months of the allocation.
- For projects requiring more than 2GB/core, it is now possible at CINES to make a few requests for AR on the Genoa HPDA pre- and post-processing partition (large memory nodes: 2TB).
- To prepare for the next upgrade of the Jean Zay machine, there will be no resources available for overtime, and resources for the A16 call will be sharply reduced on all partitions currently in production (CSL, A100 and V100). Requests will be transferred to the new resources soon to be installed, or to resources at other centers.
